iMove
I am so excited that my Sexy Abs with Kelly Rowland DVD came in last week and I'm even more excited that I enjoyed the workout!! The Hollywood Trainer @JeanetteJenkins has a #SexyAbsChallenge on Twitter. She posts weekly and daily tips and motivation. With a healthy diet, cardio workouts and doing Sexy Abs 3x a week you will be ready for summer with a flab free tummy. The 42 min workout went by fast and you definitely feel the burn the following day...and the day after. But hey... no pain no gain, well loss in this scenario. :) I did experience pain/strain in my neck though. This is at no fault of Jeanette Jenkins or Kelly Rowland... I REPEAT... THE DVD DID NOT CAUSE ME TO HAVE NECK PAIN OR STRAIN...
I found from previous yoga, pilates and ab workouts on the floor/mat that once I finished or the next day I would experience slight pain/strain. After doing some research I learned that I needed to modify the exercises. In the video below, Aliesa George of CENTERWORKS, explains the modification I made to rid myself of these aches.
**Please note everyone's body and muscles react differently to workouts and modifications. Always consult your doctor before starting/changing your workouts. I am not a doctor or trainer.**

iRead- Dr. Chapman's 5 Love Languages
What’s your Love Language?
I read, The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts by Dr. Gary Chapman and loved it!!! I suggest that everyone who is in relationship or plans to be in one reads this book. I feel that its beneficial in all relationships not just the relationship of lovers but also friends and parents and co-workers. Dr. Chapman’s theory is that everyone speaks a Love Language and order to give and receive love effectively one must know their LL as well as the LL of the other person in the relationship. There are 5 LL.
1. Word’s of Affirmation
2. Quality Time
3. Gifts
4. Acts of Service
5. Physical Touch
I won’t go into detail on each LL because I do want you all to read the book or at least putz around on the website www.5lovelanguages.com On the site there is a quiz to help you decipher which LL you speak. There are also different versions of the book (sort of like the Chicken Soup for the Soul Series). Its a quick read and not only will it allow you to have better relationships with other people, it allows you to see yourself in a different light.
Happy reading!!! And happy loving!!!

The Game Review or Lack There Of :-(
I'm a lot late in my reviews for these past few episodes and I'm sorrrry! I think it's because I was trying to find nice things to say about them... and each week I was unable to :-( And now there are only two episodes left and um... I still don't have much to say.. I was a HUGE fan and I couldn't WAIT for the new season to begin. I have to say I am not impressed (and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way). The story lines are... not good. Lol. I was going to try to be prolific but I just don't have it in me. BET has definitely changed The Game and the change is bad. I will be back to give a final recap and review as it is too draining to so it weekly... Smh.

Words of Wisdom Wednesday 3/16/11
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain

Who are you living for? Pt 2
Watch this scene from Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. Sidney Poirtier's character introduced his parents to his fiance who is a white woman. It is 1967 and he is a doctor. Its a very good movie and this is one of my favorite scenes....
Who are you living for?
A friend of mine and fellow blogger published a very powerful post a fews days back that I want to share with you. The last paragraph prompted the title for this blog....
So what do you think? Who should you be living for? Thank you Courtleak for sharing this with us. Check out more from Courtleak here!
